Work

Showcase sites we built in-house for four fictional brands. Each runs in three languages, with full motion and a content model ready for a CMS.

  • AOKAZE青風· Environmental engineering · Fictional brand, built as a showcase

Clean water and air, passed on to the next generation.

A water, air and energy engineering firm from Kitakyushu, a city whose sky was once grey with smog. The site tells that story in one image: as you scroll, the haze lifts, the sky turns blue and the year runs from 1965 to today.

  • KUSABI楔· Precision turned parts · Fictional brand, built as a showcase

The smallest part holds everything together.

A maker of parts to the micron, named after the small wedge that locks a temple carpenter’s nail-free joint. The site opens with that joint in 3D: it assembles, takes three taps of the wedge, turns from wood to steel and opens into an exploded drawing.

  • KOYOMI暦· Premium kitchenware · Fictional brand, built as a showcase

Tools for living with the seasons.

A Tsubame copperware brand that follows the old Japanese calendar of 72 micro-seasons, so the home page is never the same two weeks running: the site knows which season today falls in and changes its photo, words and colour to match.

  • NEKASU寝かす· Fermented seasonings · Fictional brand, built as a showcase

    Time is our main ingredient.

A Shodoshima soy brewery that rests its shoyu in cedar barrels through two summers. The site reads like a food magazine and opens on the fermenting surface itself, darkening as you scroll from one day to two summers, then becoming the growth rings of a 150-year-old barrel.
